Wendy Grabel, a specialist in employee benefits, became of counsel to the firm in 2007.  Wendy is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Wendy’s practice encompasses retirement plans, deferred compensation, severance, and welfare programs, including medical and ancillary insurance plans, for both commercial and tax-exempt employers.  Wendy has particular expertise in the new Health Care Reform Law.  With a long history as “in-house” benefits counsel for a Fortune 200 company, she has direct experience with the thorniest administrative problems, and how to avoid them.  Her focus is program administration, regulatory compliance, plan drafting, and benefit denials and appeals.

Wendy has also been associated with the New York City law firms Debevoise & Plimpton and Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, and served a judicial clerkship in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
