Labor and Employment Law Expert to Offer Area Human Service Agencies “Employment Law 101” (2-27-12)

Because many supervisors and employers do not understand how their employment decisions can create liability — for their agencies and for themselves — Susan Fentin, a partner at Skoler, Abbott and Presser, P.C. and an expert in labor and employment law, will present a daylong seminar called Employment Law 101 on Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Delaney House in Holyoke, MA.

The seminar is being sponsored by the Human Service Forum, a trade organization that provides a voice for human service organizations through leadership, information, advocacy, recognition, public relations, and capacity building. The special program, tailored specifically for human resources agencies, will provide supervisors with basic information about employment law, as well as management skills and strategies that can help them avoid employment litigation.

The fee for the program is $105 for Human Service Forum members and $160 for non-members. The event will include a continental breakfast and lunch.
