Local Law Firm Hosts Labor And Employment Law Symposium, September 20

Skoler, Abbott & Presser, P.C., the leading labor and employment law firm serving employers in the greater Springfield area, today announced, the firm will host a Labor and Employment Law Symposium, Tuesday, September 20.

Skoler, Abbott and Presser will provide attendees with a general overview of developments in both state and federal labor and employment law.

Breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Strategies for handling the new Department of labor (DOL) overtime regulations
  • New Massachusetts Pay Equity Law
  • Tips for conducting workplace investigations
  • Managing FMLA and ADA issues for employees with anxiety disorder or other mental disorders
  • Updates on recent National Labor Relation Board (NLRB) rulings
  • Emerging legal issues, including transgender rights and social media
  • Substance abuse in the workplace, marijuana and drug testing concerns
