Marylou Fabbo and Kimberly Klimczuk Recognized Among ‘Top Women of Law’

Skoler, Abbott & Presser, P.C., is pleased to announce that Marylou Fabbo and Kimberly Klimczuk, Partners in the firm, will be honorees at the annual “Top Women of Law” event presented by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (“MLW”). The event recognizes the top 50 female legal professionals in Massachusetts and celebrates the outstanding achievements made by exceptional women in the legal profession. Each year, MLW honors women who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in their field. The awards highlight 50 women who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models.

The Top Women of Law Award considered Marylou and Kimberly’s leadership, vision, passion, and advocacy professionally – through their involvement in employment law discussions locally and nationally – as well as personally, as evidenced by their volunteer work in the Western Massachusetts community. In their practice, Marylou and Kimberly both specialize in helping employers with their labor and employment law issues, counseling employers on handling difficult employee situations and avoiding litigation, defending employers against charges of discrimination under state and federal law, and employment litigation in state and federal court.

Marylou is the Associate Editor of the Massachusetts Employment Law Letter and has been a frequent speaker at the Advanced Employment Issues Symposium in Las Vegas, Nev. She also teaches Master Classes on behalf of BLR on the Americans with Disabilities Act, Wage and Hour laws, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. She also presents other seminars and webinars on topics of interest to employers in Massachusetts.

Kimberly is a contributing author to the Massachusetts Employment Law Letter and teaches Master Classes on behalf of BLR on Wage and Hour Law, Employer Recordkeeping, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. She also presents other seminars and webinars on topics of interest to employers in Massachusetts.

In addition, with the support of the firm, Marylou and Kimberly have had a strong commitment to volunteerism. Marylou is the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of FutureWorks and a member of the Commission on Disabilities of Wilbraham, Massachusetts. A resident of Wilbraham, Marylou joined the firm in 1995 and has been a Partner since 2001.

Kimberly is a frequent volunteer for the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Dial-a-Lawyer Program and serves as a judge for the MBA’s annual Mock Trial Program. She is President of the Board of Directors of the Gandara Center, a non-profit organization that provides residential, mental health, substance abuse, and preventive services for children, adults, and families across Massachusetts. A resident of Springfield, Kimberly joined the firm in 2001 and has been a Partner since 2011.
