Transgender Inclusion in the Workplace

Since the Massachusetts Transgender Equal Rights Act took effect in 2012, Massachusetts employees have been protected from discrimination based on gender identity and expression; however, legal protections afforded to transgender employees are not limited to those found within Massachusetts law.  Employers should be aware of all laws that could impact the transgender employee (and the employee who is in transition) to avoid the risk of inadvertently engaging in illegal action.  Employers also should implement policies and procedures regarding transgender inclusion before an issue develops.  Please join us for this briefing, which will highlight:
