Webinar

Are Your DEIB Initiatives Legally Compliant?

Date/Time:
Mar 20 2024 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 pm.

Please join Attorney Amelia J. Holstrom of Skoler, Abbott & Presser, P.C., for a webinar on March 20, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. to learn about the legal challenges workplace Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives face and how to remain compliant with all state, federal, and local employment laws when implementing those programs.

Many employers have DEIB programs and employee resource groups meant to promote the representation and participation of employees of all backgrounds in the workplace.  When implementing those programs, employers must comply with all state, federal, and local anti-discrimination laws.  In recent months, there have been a series of disputes over and challenges to workplace DEIB programs, including a very public dispute between billionaire investor Mark Cuban and EEOC Commissioner Andrea Lucas on X (formerly known as Twitter).  In light of these recent challenges, you should be asking yourself: would our DEIB program survive a legal challenge?

At the webinar, the following topics will be discussed:

  • Legal rules surrounding workplace DEIB programs;
  • Recent legal challenges some workplace DEIB programs have faced;
  • How to stay compliant with all state and federal anti-discrimination laws; and
  • What employers can do with their DEIB programs.
